It was a great day at Felbridge Showground for our equestrian team on Sunday 14th June. There was an unbelievable amount of people in each class, as it was qualifier for the national championships in Addington, so everyone should be very proud of their achievements. In the 70cm class, Izzy Pennington did really well on a rather excited Fergus, who decided it was all a bit much to take in for a young horse, but well done for giving the class a go.
Everyone having a wonderful time in Wales. Action packed and tired out but loving every minute. Students have experienced pony trekking, rock climbing, caving, kayaking raft building and more. The weather is fantastic. Students have overcome fears and enjoyed the challenge of trying something new. Looking forward to the team quiz tonight. Click for pictures ->ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Year 7 Geography Field trip 2015 - 23rd June
Students must ensure they are dressed appropriately for the weather and for walking, not in school uniform. If you are in any doubt then send them with suncream, sunhat, jumper and raincoat. They will be able to leave items such as jumpers and coats on the coach if they don't need them. They must all bring a pencil and rubber. A clipboard is not necessary but would be useful if you have one. They must bring a packed lunch, preferably with a bit more food than is normally required as the fresh air and walking often means they feel more hungry and a resealable drinks bottle.
The students will meet us at 9am, lining up on the cage in tutor groups. We will be back by 3.25pm. Hopefully there will be the opportunity to buy an ice cream so they may wish to bring enough money to do so.
Letters are going out to all Year 8 students this week. The trip coincides with a number of centenary events (the Battle of the Somme in particular), offering students a unique chance to take part in the global commemoration of the Great War. The trip will run for two days and one night (Friday 12th to Saturday 13th February 2016), arriving back late on the second evening. This is a very popular trip, so please act fast if you wish to take part! Deposits can be paid directly on ParentPay, first come first served. Please see Mr Harvey / Miss Farrington for more details.

URGENT CHANGES TO THE NUMBER 29 Bus Service
We have been advised of urgent changes to the number 29 bus service, serving Crowborough from Monday 1st June.
From 1 June, Hurtis Hill and Sheep Plain at Crowborough will be closed for various works. As a consequence, Brighton & Hove bus routes between Crowborough and Uckfield will be unable to serve Sheep Plain, Hurtis Hill, Whitehill Road and the southern part of Croft Road. The following stops will not be served:
· Croft Road near the junction of Southview Road/outside United Church
· Whitehill Road near Bricklayers Arms
· Bottom of Whitehill Road (Rose Court)
· Windlesham Manor
Students using these stops will need to use alternative stops during the period of the road closure which it is anticipated will last for three weeks with the bus service reverting to normal by Monday 22 June.
The stop on the northern section of Croft Road, near the junction of Church Road (opposite/outside Clifford Court), will still be served during this period.
