The year 10 football team had been training hard every Wednesday before the Christmas break and were thus eager to play their first game of 2017. The 2nd round of the Sussex shield saw us drawn against Midhurst Rother Academy who had a strong squad which included two Sussex County players, so we knew we had our work cutout for this fixture.
We know that teachers who have been inspired by high quality teacher training will inspire our students with their knowledge and allow them to flourish. Great teaching transforms lives and makes futures brighter. If you would like to be part of that we would love to hear from you.
Audiences were highly impressed last week by the school production of Oliver! produced by the Music, Drama and Dance departments. The show, described by Deputy Head Andrew Wright as a 'total and complete triumph. Breath-takingly good stuff.' wowed audiences with the energy and commitment of the 60+ students performing and the professional standard of the live orchestra. Audience members said the show was 'amazing' 'brilliant' and 'superb' with many saying they would happily pay to see it again!
Building on our recent development of Parent/Carer Weekly Bulletins, we would like to confirm our intention to migrate academic profiles for students in Year 7 - 13 to electronic editions only. These will be available via the Parent Portal.
As always, UCTC has a decorated tree at the amazing festival of Christmas trees at Holy Cross Church this weekend. This year the tree has been decorated by our SEN department who have worked incredibly hard to create a beautiful festive display. The tree is situated by the main entrance on the ground floor of the church (number 16).
