Last week UCTC enjoyed a really exciting visit from the Google Cardboard Virtual Reality team. Over 500 students had the opportunity to try learning with virtual reality content in the classroom and more than ten adventurous teachers also took part in the day. Experiences included virtual field trip to the Amazon Rainforest, Chernobyl as well as a tour of the human intestinal tract.
Politics year 13 students at UCTC, Lucy Owens and Casper Goodliffe, were chosen to talk about the Clinton v Trump presidential debate yesterday, 27th September 2016, on BBC radio. The interview with BBC's Danny Pike lasted five minutes. In their discussion Lucy and Casper were confident and articulate when it came to dissecting the proceedings of the debating event and represented UCTC with great maturity.

There was much joy and pride as students at Uckfield Community College opened their GCSE results. The long wait was over and the happiness the students felt as they realised that their hard work had paid off was immense. Joining in their celebration were many parents and staff who had supported them on their first five years of secondary school.
The students who had already consented will be vaccinated on Monday 27th February. For students who have not consented and wish to be vaccinated please contact the ImmunisationTeam on 0300 1235205 for information on the next catch up session
